Just tried Jet’s Pizza for the first time

Was pretty disappointed. I ordered delivery, which I know is marked up, but it was dang near $100 for 3 small pizzas and cheese sticks. And really wasn’t all that good.
I got one of each crust, thin, hand tossed, and Detroit, just basic pepperoni for toppings.
First, the sauce on all of them wasn’t not all that good. Overly sweet and not much depth.
The thin crust was maybe half a point better than Domino’s thin crust. Sauce kind of reminded me of it too. Cheese slid right off and didn’t stick to the slice. 4/10
Hand tossed crust was the best imo, but still nothing to right home about. I liked the fluffy doughy texture, but again flavor was lacking. Kind of just tasted like bread, not pizza dough. 4.5/10
Detroit style was just ok. I thought the edges of mine were a bit burnt. Had very little sauce, and wasn’t put on top, but maybe that’s just a Via thing and not a standard Detroit thing? I wasn’t getting much flavor from this crust either. 4/10
Cheese sticks were really dry with not much cheese. 3/10.
Overall really bummed. Feel like I’ve seen several people hyping it up here, but I think Via is significantly better, at least when comparing the Detroit and the bar pie (thin crust). For reference, I’d put Via313 at a 7/10 personally. I always like trying to find new pizza places, and hadn’t tried Jet’s in my 14 years of being in Austin. I guess the main consolidation is that it was better than Gatti’s (sorry Gatti’s)!
I would have rather eaten my feelings at CiCi’s. At least I would have had an extra $70 in my pocket.
Edit: I’ll amend on the price, my subtotal was $68.57. But after service fees and tax and tip, it was a bit over $95. So, definitely getting reamed by UE, but I had done credits, and was excited to try Jets, so I over ordered a bit to see what we liked.
Top Comment: That’s odd. You ordered poorly if you’re paying that much. 40-45 tops for 3 smalls and breadsticks. Which location? The Oak Hill one is new but they’re hitting their stride. Brodie is solid as a rock but Lamar is a wild card. It’s only been in Austin down south for like 10 years. Its from Detroit and I haven’t ordered Via since I started ordering Jets. Swing by a location and grab the 2 Detroit slices and a drink for $7 and see if it was a one-off.
